Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Croydon
Start Date: September 2024 (Interviews during Summer Holidays)
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a popular SEN Primary school in Croydon. This role will involve supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome and Speech and Language (SLCN) challenges.

Responsibilities of an Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) :
- Provide tailored support to pupils with varying special educational needs.
- Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in the development of social skills, communication, and independence.
- Support children in their daily activities and learning tasks, ensuring they are engaged and progressing.
The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) will have:
- Passion for working with children with SEN.
- A patient, empathetic and creative approach in supporting SEN pupils
- Ideally, hold at least a Level 2 qualification in a relevant field.
- Prior experience supporting children with SEN
- A positive attitude towards learning and a commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential.
- An Enhanced DBS
