About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism and ADHD to join a dynamic and supportive team. In this role, you will be working within our SEND provision, embedded in a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school. You will play a crucial role in supporting children with their individual needs, ensuring they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to children with Autism and ADHD within a mainstream classroom setting.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to adapt and differentiate learning materials.
Support the emotional well-being of students, using strategies that help manage anxiety and other challenges.
Promote positive behaviour and social interaction skills.
Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Facilitate a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
About You:
Experience: Previous experience working with children with Autism and ADHD is essential. Experience in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs (e.g., CACHE Level 3, SEN Diploma) are preferred.
Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a deep understanding of the needs of children with Autism and ADHD.

You will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo due diligence checks on social media use.
