Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons: Develop and deliver a dynamic curriculum that caters to students’ varying abilities and interests, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
· Promote a healthy and active lifestyle: Inspire students to adopt a lifelong commitment to physical fitness and well-being through a variety of sports and activities.
· Assessment and feedback: Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate students’ progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
· Extracurricular involvement: Encourage participation in extracurricular sports activities and organise inter-school competitions, fostering a sense of teamwork and sportsmanship.
· Collaborate with colleagues: Work closely with fellow teachers and staff to integrate PE into the broader curriculum, promoting cross-disciplinary learning experiences.
· Parental engagement: Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on student progress, achievements, and opportunities for further involvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
· Degree in Physical Education or related field.
· Demonstrated experience in teaching PE at the secondary level.
· Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Physical Education.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
