The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to join the schools dedicated teaching staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students initially Key Stages 3 and 4, but building to include KS5, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, and fostering a love for the English language and literature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students.
• Inspire a love for literature and language, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the English curriculum.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, such as clubs or literary events, to enrich the student experience.
• Contribute to the school’s ethos of promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field.
• Proven experience in teaching English, with a track record of effective and engaging teaching.
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and a commitment to staying updated on educational best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students.
