Job Description

Complete Classroom Service are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maths Lead Practitioner to join our team. As a Maths Lead Practitioner, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of our nursery. Your role will involve providing high-quality childcare, leading a team of practitioners, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Duties:
– Have passion for and expertise in your subject area

– To plan and deliver lessons which consistently challenge students’ thinking and force them out of their comfort zone.

– To be a reflective practitioner constantly striving to improve your practice.

– To review, develop and deliver the Key Stage 5 maths curriculum.

– To plan post-16 courses for students who need to retake GCSE maths in the Sixth Form.

– To develop the teaching of Key Stage 5 Maths within the department.

– To take responsibility for your own professional development including attending relevant CPD events, observing peers and identifying personal developmental targets.

-To collaborate with colleagues within the Trust and with other schools to share examples of best practice.

– To develop positive relationships with the students based on mutual respect.

– To consistently implement the school’s positive behaviour system.

– To work effectively within team, support colleagues and not be afraid to ask for support.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Maths or related field
– Previous experience working in a Secondary School
– Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
– Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work well under pressure

– Teaching certification or license (QTS)
– Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in learning
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching
