As a SENDCo in our special school, you will play a pivotal role in championing the needs of our students with special educational needs and disabilities. Working closely with our passionate staff, you will lead initiatives to create an inclusive learning environment, ensuring that each student receives the personalised support required for their individual success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Foster strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on effective inclusive practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest SEN policies, practices, and legislation to inform decision-making.
• Play a key role in shaping a positive and supportive school culture.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
• National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent qualification.
• Passion for and experience in working with students with special educational needs in a special school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
