Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to lead their Drama department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in the exploration of drama and performance, facilitating their personal and creative development. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students by instilling a love for the performing arts and providing them with the skills and confidence they need to excel in this field.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver engaging and innovative drama lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities and interests.

· Inspire students to explore their creativity and express themselves through drama and performance.

· Collaborate with colleagues to integrate drama into cross-curricular activities and projects.

· Organise and direct school plays, productions, and drama club activities.

· Assess and evaluate students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their development.

· Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages self-expression and respect for others.

· Keep up-to-date with developments in drama education and curriculum changes.

Requirements:

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

· Proven experience as a Drama Teacher, preferably in a secondary school setting.

· A passion for drama and the performing arts.

· Strong knowledge of drama curriculum and teaching methodologies.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Creativity and the ability to engage and motivate students.

· Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.

· Willingness to contribute to extracurricular drama activities.

· A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
