The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to join the schools dedicated teaching staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students initially Key Stages 3 and 4, but building to include Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, and fostering a love for the English language and literature.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to secondary school students.
· Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and development.
· Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
· Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
· Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum.
· Encourage a love for literature and language, instilling a passion for English within your students.
· Actively participate in school activities and events that promote student welfare and development.
Qualifications:
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
· Previous teaching experience, particularly in a secondary school setting.
· Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for English.
· Effective classroom management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Dedication to continuous professional development.
· Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
