Job Description

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity? A supportive mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets, rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted, is seeking an experienced SEN TA to start immediately!

Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a child with autism and ADHD
Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure the child’s needs are met
Support the child in developing social, emotional, and academic skills

Requirements:
Previous experience working 1:1 with children with autism and ADHD
Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special educational needs

Complete Classroom Services are highly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. You will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo due diligence checks on social media use.

All school-based staff have the responsibility for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children. All school staff should be aware of the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and work in accordance with this document at all times.
